Bardula
Bardula is an artists' collective whose lumino-kinetic work is led by a Belgian goldsmith in her studio south of Paris.
Bardula's work sits within the traditions of optical and kinetic art, revisiting these movements with a particular interest in science and new technologies — including 3D, laser, animation, and LED.
Drawing on light, transparency, reflection, and virtual volume, Bardula explores optical effects through a geometric lens, studying mathematical forms extracted from 3D digital models and movements inspired by vortex phenomena.
Bardula harnesses material and light to investigate the correlation between 2D and 3D, producing hypnotic and magnetic works: their lumino-kinetic pieces focus on the visual perception and spatial experience created by luminous perspectives, generating a sense of the infinite.
Since 2015, Bardula has taken part in over forty exhibitions, and the collective's work is represented by six galleries, all specialising in geometric abstraction, concrete art, and optical-kinetic art.
